ACC 2017: Scalability of voltage controllers in HVDC networks

I will attend the 2017 American Control Conference in Seattle between May 24-26 and present our paper “Performance and scalability of voltage controllers in multi-terminal HVDC networks” during the Thursday B-session.

This joint work with Martin Andreasson, Henrik Sandberg and Kalle Johansson treats performance limitations of various voltage controllers in multi-terminal high-voltage direct-current (HVDC) networks. We find that distributed controllers offer a performance advantage compared to a strategy where a single bus is controlled.
